    Post your favorite summer recipes

as summer is upon us all, time once again to delve into our culinary creativity. The BBQ is available full time, herbs and other veggies are popping up in the garden, and the wonderful summer fruit becoms available replacing all that bland watery genetically engineered crap from winter. I don't have a particular favorite recipe perse (I love to cook - there are so many)....here's one for potato salad (not German, but a pretty good one)

Take a bunch of potatos, cube them, and boil them until cooked (about 10 minutes)

Soak the potatos overnight in 2 cups of chicken stock combined with 1/2 cup white vinegar

The next day, add corn niblets, green onion, and fresh sliced radishes (preferably from the garden)

Dressing: Mayonnaise mixed with a bit of English Salad Cream and a tblsp of prepared mustard.

    Garnish with red pepper

Other favorite summer salads of mine include Cole Slaw (love to hear a good recipe for this) and Waldorf salad with fresh apples, celery, walnuts, and raisins.

And my very favorite desert in the summer - strawberry - rhubarb pie made with fesh Ontario strawberries and homegrown rhubarb

    YUMMY!!!!

ps - notLKH: what's in German potato salad?

Hmm, just in time for D-Day?

Who wants those when you can have decent, respectable British spuds?
I don't live here any more.
