file copy protection
I need a robust reliable way to protect just a single file from being copied. Whether its prevent it from being copied off a users hard drive, or keeping it on a cd and preventing them from copying the file to their hard drive and from copying the cd. Once I give them the file on a cd I don't want them to be able to make any copies whatsoever. Theres no software involved here, except if some little program could be put on the cd that would transparently help in preventing copies.

I saw something about messing with a cue file so you burn an extra track on the cd that screws up the TOC and the cd can still be read but you can't copy it. I guess if its just a file you can't protect against copying that though.

I think it'll be hard to do because the gamming industry is trying it's very best to stop that sort of thing, with no success.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
