    Recovering data from MYD file

    In MySQL, the MYD file stores the data. I am aware that I can use the REPAIR TABLE command or the MYISAMCHK tool to restore it.

    I am just wondering if there is a faster method to work with an MYD file on a computer that does not have MySQL installed? Perhaps (and I'm just imagining this), an MYD reader?
