    Legacy ports for my laptop?

    My laptop is about 18 months old so it has all the goodies apart from serial or parallel ports. I'd like to be able to communicate with serial / ECP interfaced devices but I currently have no way to connect them.

    Are there any Serial (rs232) or ECP adaptors / pcmcia cards that supply this capability?

    Serial is more important to me than ECP.

    Pretty much.
    Compatible with the vb6 MSComm Control do you think?

    I had anticipated a price like that, my USB/Centronics adaptor (for a printer) was a similar sum.

    As long as you install the correct drivers, it should just be seen as a standard serial port.
