    Fans Die but not PSU

    Hi sometimes whilst my machine is running all the fans stop but the PSU fan (whilst in windows)

    i get worried but i find if i smack my case they come back on

    ive recently cleanned out my pc is it time for a new psu ?

    You may need a more powerful PSU. If you've got too much poew being drawn from it, it might cuases some of the components connect to fail.

    It might also be worth checking your fans are connected properly.

    I had a similar problem. My fan slots on my old motherboard failed. They never worked again though. If they're powered through the motherboard you may want to try and directly have them powered by the PSU. You can either find a pass-through four slot connect, or fashion your own.

    If its all the fans, and they're on different power supplies (e.g. a hdd cooler V a bios heatsink+fan V a gfx heatsink+fan), then it could in theory be magnetic interference...

    Very unlikely though
