my application automaticly sets its self on focus..?

hi,

I have an application which I have designed, it basicly plays a number of audio files. (playing the next file after the previous has ended) - automaticly.

However..

when I leave the application to play each file... it for some reason (which i dont understand), sets its self to focus. I know that coz, if i am using another application while my applicaion is in the background, then when my applicaiton is moving onto a new file to play it suddenly shows up from the bakground (& its window sets on focus).

I think its due to some sort of autoamic updating or something..

anyone have any ideas on what I can do? can I manually force it not to set the app window to focus at such stages?

thanks, but i have tried this.

what it does then, is that is does not show up...

but the application windows that I am using suddenly loses focus (when my minimised application goes on to play another file -nothing is visible.. coz its minimised) but it casues any other application windows to lose focus.

any ideas?

Try running your app from the systray (that little collection of icons next to the clock on your start bar). There are two pages on this site to help you.

The first one is a big code slice, you'll have to figure out how it works on your own.

The other one is more like a tutorial. It gives you a little more than just the code.

I ended up using a combo of both. I was very happy with the results.
