    Question Problem with mshtml.dll/Active Desktop Html. Pls Help

    Hi there... I have got two(2) problem. Pls help me.

    ------------Problem One---------------------------
    I am having a problem with my computer Win98. The problem is that I am getting an error message all the time i.e. "The Active Desption Html cannot be found. Click Ok to turn off your Active Desktop"

    To solve this problem I have renamed mshtml.dll (Coz I think it is corrupted) to mshtml.xxx and I have downloaded new mshtml.dll

    But things doesn't seem to work fine.
    Please tell me what to do.

    ------------Problem Two---------------------------
    I am having Internet Explorer. And I am not able to type anything inside the Textbox of internet explorer(i.e. the control doesn't go there at all ) I can't even edit anything in Textbox. It is because there is something wrong with mshtml.dll or is it because of something else?

    Thank you for you help.

    Have you tried un-installing and re-installing Internet Explorer?
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

    Latest quote: crptcblade - VB6 executables can't be decompiled, only disassembled. And the disassembled code is even less useful than I am.

    Put in your system disk (hold the shift key down to kill auto-play) once the flickering light stops on the CDROM go to > start > run >sfc /scannow > enter, and sit there and babysit the prompts until its over. This should "restore" the system .dlls to original. This is a good starting point for trouble shooting M$ . Do this then report back here.
