    Unhappy

    I need to convert a picture box's binary data to string.

    Here is the scenario:

    Of got a client and server computer, two winsockets. I want
    to send a picture over the network to the client. So I need
    to send the client winsocket a string representation of the
    picture data.

    At the client side I should obviously convert it back again.

    Help?

    I looked at some API called: GetDIBits. Is that it? Maybe
    not? What APIs should be used? Maybe APIs isn't neccesary
    at all.

    Any ideas?

    Thanx!

    Yep, i think GetDIBits is what you need, it should return an array containg the bitmap by either its palette or without palette, if you have 24 bit colors. Then you can use Strconv to convert the array to a string
    Use
    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.
