    2 PC on Network How

    hi there

    i have two PC i want to connect both directly.. with out switch./hub

    i have a network cabel i install the network driver and set workgroup i also install Client for Microsoft Network.

    but i can not see the both pc on network.

    can u plz help me .

    what sort of cable have you got?

    if it's RJ45 (square plastic connector) it needs to be a cross-over cable, not a standard one.

    if it's Ethernet (round metal connector) you need to use terminators at each end of the cable, with t-connectors to plug in to the network cards.

    no idea!!

    I have seen pages on the web that explain it, but to be honest you'll probably be best to buy one - they should be about the same price as a standard one.

    I have made them, they are not hard but a crimper would cost ya $50
