    Temporary Internet Files Problem

I am having somehow the same problem as this guy mentioned in Windows XP and IE 6. It has happened few times now and I had no work around for that except deleting all the Temporary Internet Files.
    Hello all,

I'm having a problem with my temporary internet files
that started a few months ago. I don't remember changing
anything when the problem started to occur. At the time,
I was using Windows 2000 and IE 5.5.

Anyway, I began to see the problem with Winzip. I would
click on a zip file and select open, rather than save,
and Winzip would open with NO FILES!!! It was only if I
saved the zip file to disk and then opened it that I
would see the contents of the archive. I tried
reinstalling Winzip (I have had the latest version the
whole time). I also upgraded to IE6 and most recently
Windows XP Pro. The problem still persists. I believe
it is a problem with my temp internet files in general,
not Winzip, because I have also seen the problem with
RealPlayer Plus. When I click on a .RAM file, I get a
    message that the file://C:/Documents and
    Settings/Tony/Local Settings/Temporary Internet
    Files/Content.IE5/FO22MFMB/filename[1].ram cannot be
found. Note, this is NOT the remote URL that cannot be
found. It is the local .RAM file. Under Internet
Options, my temporary files folder is C:\Documents and
    Settings\Tony\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
    Any idea?

Thanks, but I knew this as I mentioned in first post, I want to know the possible reason and the solution other than deleting all the Temporary files.

I'd suggest changing the location of your Temp files folder. Do a search on how to do that or download something called "Internet Security Tweak" which lets you specify the temp folder.

I know how to do that, and I think that fixes the problem but I think I do something that makes this happen and I am looking for that...
