Unhappy [RESOLVED] VS .Net 2003 IDE - Freeze When Insert Combobox

    Good day.

I am using Visual Studio .Net 2003 Enterprise Architect edition. version 7.1.3088

I have been troubled by this problem for quite sometimes. I create a combo box in a form. Then when I try to click on the combo box to highlight it or to drag-n-drop it to other location in the form, the whole IDE will stop responding. I need to click "Show Desktop" shortcut to minimize the IDE and restore it again, only I can regain the control of the IDE. Which means that I can't do anything on the combobox except if I done it using codes manually.

I thought it's a bug or something. I wait for few months and seems like there's no such bug report in Ms website.

I wonder anyone else experience this kind of problem also ? It's start to make me frustrated especially currently I need to complete a project within dateline.

    Help !!

    Thanks a lot !

Never had this problem. When you have problems like this you should include your information so we can actually help you.

What's your OS? Computer stats? When was the last format?

    Smile Found Solution !

    Good day.

Actually I am using a Logitech iFeel Mouse, running the Immersion Touchware Desktop in background.

The Touchware Desktop actually is the cause. I can prevent the IDE from freezing if I disable the force feedback feature of the mouse. Weird huh. I guess it's some kind of compatibality probelm with the forcefeedback API of the software. Who knows ?

I guess I am the only one who using VS .net 2003 + Logitech iFeel Mouse

    Thanks a lot !
