    tailgaters

I sware I hate it when people tailgate, even after you are going 10/15 miles over the speed limit. [edited by Moderator] <slap>

But at driving school they say you're supposed to slow down when someone is tail gating you so you have more room to stop in front of you so the ****er behind you won't hit you.

No way, I start to slow down to a crawl just to piss them off. As soon as they can pass, I then speed up to not allow it. If we are on a multi lane highway, I will get next to another car and not let him pass. I provide the road rage that everyone hears about in the news. Someday I will get a gun pulled on me, but until then, I am having fun!

Soon as they back off of my a$$, I then will get back to normal driving. Of course, during the whole ordeal, I am flipping them the bird and giving them dirty looks and/or laughing at them....you know, to help drive the point across.

I just pop it into 2nd... and nail it!

265BHP with 300lbs of torque usually see's off most tailgaters!

It's quite funny to watch people's faces when I reconfigure the ECU whilst on the move! I have the standard 4 settings...

    1. Stock (IE... the way it came from the Seat dealer)
    2. 97RON mode (where u use a higher octane petrol)
    3. Race mode (whereby the turbo is up'd 2 notches and the dump valve and exhaust flames kick in!!! )
    4. Cruise (Where I actually get more MPG than the stock mode...)

I'm using APR's DirectPort system, so I can reconfigure the car via a web browser, although I haven't found a use for that yet!

Having a 100 shot of NOS fitted shortly... so 365BHP should be awesome! Finally... I can see off those ugly Civic Type-R's and Focus RS's!!! My friend thought he could beat me in a Saxo VTS 16v... and he nearly blew his engine trying!

    0-62 takes 5.2 seconds (with 265BHP) so I can't imagine what'll happen with an extra 100!!!

99% of the time I get tailgated it's on highways, so doing that = no more transmission (since I'd already be going fast and in 5th).

Actually, Britney Spears did that a few years ago (I think it was Britney, or maybe another pop-star). She was learning to drive a stick and was doing, I think they said 80-90MPh on the highway, and she shifted it into 2nd from 5th.

I have no clue what any of this means. You've just strung together a bunch of numbers and acronymns, haven't you?

    Haha

    BHP: Brake HorsePower
    lbs: Pounds (of torque)
95RON: Standard crappy petrol you get from places like Safeway's!
97RON: Higher quality, high octane fuel designed to enhance performance
NOS: Nitrous Oxide or N20 (Dry/Wet or Direct Injection to give massive performance gains for a short period of time)
    MPG: Miles per gallon
Dump Valve: Releases back pressure so the turbo can keep spinning whilst you change up/down a gear. Most make a loud 'whooooosh' when you let off the gas pedal.
ECU: Electronic Control Unit (The computer most newer cars use to program fuel timings and power delivery)

All car manufactures are restricted in terms of the amount of power they can produce from a certain car. European bull**** law prevents them going over 155MPH (Miles per hour ) unless the vehicle goes up one band. Some manufactures have been known to 'clock down' the cars ECU, and restricting the cars output, but this is easy to get around... which is why I use APR's kit!

I was raced by a Lotus Elise 111R a few weeks ago, and even though her car was .2 seconds quicker 0-60... I kept up to around 125MPH, which is the top speed of the Elise... but mine won't run out of power until 158MPH, so she can go screw!

Hope that's helps you understand it!

I love it when people tailgate me. I keep a mentally handicapped child in the backseat of my car. He stares out the back window and picks his nose all day. When they see that, it usually gets them off my ass.
