Why can't you open the database with username and passord defined in the connect string (you can build this from a login form)?

    Paul.

P.S. How do you get to the reports from VB - Access as Application etc.?
    Not nearly so tired now...

Haven't been around much so be gentle...

My connection string is dealt with in a class I have, which is used in all my projects, which just uses a data source name.

The DSN points to a mdb and a mdw file.

I haven't got the code handy for accessing the reports, but if you do a search on theses forums you will find it pop up quite frequently, although only for a single user database.
