    Talking Opening an instance of Excel through ASP .NET web application

    I'm making an ASP .NET web application and I want to open an instance of Excel by pressing on a button on a webform. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm using the code-behind to do all the code so I'm hoping for a visual basic code solution.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    I don't have all the details, and this is just a thought.

    Couldn't you create a excel document and send it to the user. If they have excel on their machine, excel view should open in the browser.
