    Cpanel Question

    For those of you familiar with CPanel (that comes with any Linux hosting package), you will be familiar with Analog statistics and Webalizer statistics.

    I would like to disable Analog stats and Webalizer as well. They are of not much concern to me, and they eat up disk space like Oprah with a bucket of chicken.

    How can I disable them?

    I've never seen CPanel with linux distro's! Don't u mean webmin?

    CPanel is a chargable package! I may be wrong, but I can't see them bundling CPanel with it!

    Trying editing the diag.conf and main.conf files manually and turn off / hash out the variables. IE

    ## This will log so many files, you'll fill your hard disk ##
    Webalizerlog = TRUE

    Change to...

    ## This will log so many files, you'll fill your hard disk ##
    # Webalizerlog = TRUE #

    or

    Webalizerlog = FALSE

    Never used CPanel as you can tell... but thats the basis of any script change.

    They didn't bundle it, his host installed it on the server you dork

    Anyway, I'm not exactly sure how to disable it. I'm not even sure you have the ability to. You may have to contact your host and ask them to disable it for ya (assuming this is on your host, otherwise if you installed it yourself on your own computer, CPanel has an administration GUI for itself and it should be easily found in there).

    Dear Visionus Doofus Maximus,
    Linux hosting packages come with Cpanel, usually.

    The reason I wanted it disabled was because webalizer alone has it's "core" files, which currently takes up about 30MB of my space.

    I'll look for the files you mentioned, otherwise I'm also thinking what kasracer just said.

    or I guess I should just keep deleting the core files for webalizer and those html files for analog.

    Yours truly,
    Froggus Superiorus.
