Receive Fax and Dialup connection

Is it possible to set a computer up to receive faxes and dial up connections to the computer?

Of course not one while the other is going on .. but the ability to differentiate between the two?

I'm trying to set up a client / server app for someone and they want the ability to connect to the server from home. The only way the computer can connect though is through a dialup connection. They have the computer set up on the fax line so they can't leave it on waiting for a dial in connection without the ability to receive a fax on the computer too since the computer would answer the phone.

Also while I'm here how would I go about setting up a computer to receive a dialup connection on xp pro?

Are we talking microsoft free download or an actual Microsoft distributed program?

If its distributed the budget for this is to tight to spend a few hundred bucks on something with the microsoft brand on it.
