User/Study Group
I was just at HellsWraith's website and noticed he used his forums for a local study/user group. Is anyone else involved in any kind of group like that? If so how did you find it or hear of it? I have heard of other groups with MS support but didn't see one near me.

Well, for me, we have a .Net user group here in the Portland Oregon area. You can find it from the link you posted or go directly to the site:
http://www.padnug.org/padnug/default.aspx
I think if you have one close to you, you should check it out and join up.
With our group, a rep from MS was there. He new about a group in Idaho that did the study group thing, and it worked pretty well. He brought the idea down to our group. We are pretty lucky because he was able to score us free books from MSPress to study with. I think this is the biggest hurdle you will come across when forming a group, everyone has to have a book, and not everyone wants to pay $40 dollars for one.
If you want, I can get the Microsoft guys email address to you for you to contact on how to form your own study group in your area, or for him to point you to talk to someone in your area.

Well I checked my area from the link and it showed 3 sort of in my area, but two of them seem dyfunc. So I signed up for the one that actually had a valid contact and website. The first meeting is Dec. 6 so lets see how it goes. Thanks for the info, if it doesn't work out then I might get that email from you. This one is in the next city but I'm on the border of the two so its not really far or anything.

I haven't been yet, but there appears to be speakers that teach on different related subjects. The speakers in this group are members of the group, also it was started by a university teacher, but sometimes you can get MS people to come and speak.
