    Change is good....but Microsoft doesnt allow that

    In Internet Explorer, when i go to tools--internet options--security--and i try and change the security settings i click ok and it all looks good, but then if i go back and look, it has reset itself to the original settings. Like I tried to go down to Low security but it puts it back to medium. So now I cant really use any ActiveX things! Piece of doody!

    that worked but how come i cant just change the preset settings? not a big deal though.

    Because preset settings are, well, preset. Customization is the only way.

    Its not just that. Whenever I change those settings it still dont work. It keeps chagning em back. I cant use activex or anything!

    MS may be supressing some file access error. You could try doing it in safe mode, and, failing that, look around for the registry keys.
