    Is it true that using a frameset in your homepage of your website is not a good idea because web spiders and search engines do not like them ?

    Is this a limitation ? Can it be overcome ?

    That is hardly a good reason for not using frames.

    A spider will index your page and any links on it unless specified not to in a Robots.txt file
