Does anyone know of a way to block an external program from editing the registry?

well.
I just had an idea, if i could do that from my program.. then no one could edit my registry entries that are checked to see whether it should run certain options.
because most users wont no how to go in and edit it manually... but it does suck when somebody then makes a program that edits all the entries for them and releases it to people.
