    DirectX Tutorial

    Could any of you please direct me to a good begginers DirectX tutorial?

    I'd use DX8 for VB6, DX9 for .NET

    Thank you very much, I did an all day search yesterday, only came up with C++ stuff.

    Depending on what graphics card you have, you might want to go with DX7 or even DX6.
    "Can't" and "shouldn't" are two totally separate things.

    Out of all recent editions (7-9), I'd have to say DX7 for 2d and DX8 & 9 for 3d. DX8 moreso because it has more tutorials out othere. Oh, btw, they took out DirectDraw in DX8 (although I believe they reinstated it, exactly as it was in DX7, in DX9)

    Edit: Also, he is right about DX6/DX7 depending on your graphics card (as long as it's, oh, around 3 years old or newer, I'd do DX7).
