Developing directly on remote IIS Server using Web Matrix
We have an in-house development server. We are looking to develop directly on this server using Web Matrix rather than on individual machines. I think this needs to be done using an FTP connection but correct me if I'm wrong. Is it ok for several machines to work on the same project at the same time?
Any one with experience of this?
Cheers

I think that you might be asking to much of the Web Matrix. There may be a solution out there for you, and don't let me discourage you from looking, but I highly doubt that you can do what you ultimately want to do.
You should look into getting VS.Net for this type of work, along with Visual Source Safe to handle the multiple user aspect.
Just my opinion, you should really look at the www.asp.net forums for answers to these types of questions, those users are going to be better equiped to answer web matrix questions.
Good luck.

As we have a maximum of 3 developers working on a project at any time I was hoping we could use Web Matrix without the need for a sourcesafe solution. At this time we are just investigating .NET so don't really want to spend 100's on VS.NET until we are sure it the route we want to take.
I've put a message on www.asp.net but had no reply so posted here as repsonses seem to be so much quicker.
Thanks for your suggestions hellswraith.
