    [Resolved] "Messenger Service" Popups?

These little "Messenger Service" popups are getting really annoying. I thought after I uninstalled MSN Messenger that they'd go away, but they haven't.

It's just like a form that popups up and says "Messenger Service" for the title, and then has various spam messages and an OK button.

What are these and how do I get rid of them?

MSN Messenger is different from Windows Messenger.

    To disable it

    start>run "services.msc"

Double click on messenger, in the drop down box select disabled (or manual if you like) and then hit stop, then ok

    all done

np, I know off the top of my head how to get rid of ALOT of annoying XP features.

I actually started making a program within VB .NET to disable the things and I even made a nice set of classes to disable things like these but then I realized I didn't want to do it in VB .NET, because if someone just installed XP and wants to use it, they gotta install the .NET framework which sucks
