is there a function that returns the end (date) of a given month?

Just add -1 day to the next month.
10/1/2003 - 1 = 9/30/2003
dDate = first day of current month you are looking for end of month date.
dMonthEnd = End of month.
Code:
dMonthEnd = DateAdd("d",-1,DateAdd("m",1,dDate))
