    .Net grid controls (Data Grides)

    Hi,

    I am in the process of moving to .net and one of the biggest problems I had was grid control in vb 6. Has anyone used any new controls in vb 7 (.net) and if so hwo did you get on.

    Any comments on upgrading to .net are welcome, go easy on me it is my first steps in the .net world

    VS.NET is easier than VB6 and makes more sense . For the DataGrid , it has more capabilities (some properties were added and some were deleted from VB6) . For the upgrading issue , I don't recommend esp for small VB6 Proj that can be rewritten in VB.NET .

    What do you mean by it is not a good idea to re-develop vb6 apps in vb .net.

    What I mean is , there are some situations ,your old VB6 Proj can't be upgraded easily to .NET . You need to read more here . http://www.gotdotnet.com/team/upgrade/default.aspx
