Old Megadrive game? Help!

Im after the name of an old megadrive game.

Basically you took control of a spaceship and had to travel through this huge galaxy. landing on planets and mining different metals and such from them.

You could then head back to HQ and sell the metals to buy ship upgrades and such.

Can anyone remember the name of this game? It came up in convo today and I cant for the life of me remember the name.
