Question which is the quickest to copy?

Which would take the shortest time to copy from one location to another?

    1) 10 mp3s
    2) A directory tree containing about 1500 files in many sub-directories

Assuming that both choices are 20 MB in size.

Probably the 10 mp3s, because you don't have to open and close that many files etc....Why are you asking?

The former, as NoteMe said, but also because the 10 MP3s require less accesses to the FAT.

..as well as not needing to check permissions on as many files (for Win NT/2000 etc)
