MySQL 4.0
I've heard rumors from people that there's problems with MySQL 4.0 and they wouldn't recommend downloading it until the next release.
Has anyone else heard something like this, or does anyone know what the problems are?
It might just be a rumor, but I don't want to update to it if there's a problem.

I haven't heard of any problems...yet, but I also don't know anybody that is running it. I mean just looking at other forums I don't see anybody talking about it.
I would wait, heck wait until php5 comes out and then run it jus tthink of the bugs you would find in that mess

From another message board:
mySQL 4.x has presented multiple issues with corrupted db tables. It's really a random type of thing, with no particular set of circumstances to which we can point as the reason, and adjustments we've made to the mySQL config have not helped with this. We will be rolling back on all servers to mySQL 3.x and hopefully the next revision of mySQL will fix whatever bug has crept in to the mix.
