    Try this

    Dim TestStr as string

    TestStr = "Test"
    debug.print TestStr '(Test)
    TestStr = Chr(34) & TestStr & Chr(34)
    debug.print TestStr '("Test")

    Try it out

    Hi andromedia !!!

    AdrianH Solution is in my opionion the right one if you want to code this.

    if you want do use it as constant Text then you can also do
    following
    x = """test"""
    debug.print x
    "test"

    or
    x = "'test'"
    debug.Print x
    'test'
    or
    x = """'test'"""
    debug.Print x
    "'test'"

    look in MSDN for the ASCII Character codes. You can use them with the CHR() function.

    If you need them, here are all the ASCII codes:

    Code:
    ! = 33
    " = 34
    # = 35
    $ = 36
    % = 37
    & = 38
    ' = 39
    ( = 40
    ) = 41

    If you want to reproduce this in VB:
    Code:
    'Add a CommandButton and a textbox(multiline=true,scrollbars=vertical,font=Courier new)
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    Dim x As Integer
        Text1.Text = ""
    For x = 33 To 255
        Text1.Text = Text1.Text & Chr(x) & " = " & x & vbCrLf
    Next
    End Sub
