Smile Preview of C#Builder from Borland

Here is a preview of C#Builder from Borland. It looks really nice.

It looks like a VS clone. Is it cheaper than VS.Net? If so, I can see the attraction to it, if not, then why would anyone want to use it? It looks like it has the essential features needed to make it a good dev tool, but not nearly the features available in VS.NET.... Maybe they are hidden. Anyway, it is always good to see competition. That means MS and Borland will have to have price wars to keep themselves relevant.

They have'nt said anything about price yet, but I think it will cost less than VS.NET. With this coming out, it might force MS to lower the price on VS.NET.

I actually like the look. Nice and clean.

if nothing else, next time some Anti-Microsoft
java troll complains that the only IDE for C# is made by Microsoft, and dont have anything as good as JBuilder, they can be pointed to C#Builder.

Thats right Cander . I like the look too. When I went to the Windows 2003 and VS.NET 2003 launch, Borland was there showing it of on a 21' LCD. It looked amazing. It was also fast.

If this is priced right, it will definatly put C# into prime time.

You just can't beat Notepad's Intellisense capabilities though...

It's so intelligent, it trains you to the point, where you absolutely know the properties and methods of any object, its also very unintrusive... i like that ...

Not looking that way... C#Builder is supposed to release on 6/6.
    Enterprise - $1799.00 usd
    Professional - $999.00 usd

No prices yet on Architech or Personal. I don't see anything about C#Builder that is worth shelling out that kind of dough.
