Is there any reason that will prevent Windows from displaying Edit menu button when right clicked on BAT type file in Explorer? It has always worked for me but one of my fellow co-worker has this problem and it's really annoy him. His PC runs W2K (brand new btw).
The context menu is controlled from the File Association bit by the Folder Properties. Maybe its disabled because of some kind of security setting?
From Windows Explorer click on 'Tools' from the Menu->Folder Options. Then go to the 'File Types' tab find the entry for .bat and setup an edit option.
Thanks man but I should've mentioned that I did all that including registry search before posting my question. Guy has full control over his machine so I personally just don't get it.
