Well Marines aren't trained to be policeman. It requires people skills, not just killing capability. But I hope they hurry the hell up and establish a policing agency soon.
They were probablyhoping of establishing one with Iraqis instead of americans.
You just proved that sig advertisements work.

Well, there can't be that hard for them to deal with it, see someone thinking about looting, fire a few shots in the air. I'm sure they could do that.
I hear that a few Iraqi's were setting up a Police Force.
The other day some news channel was interviewing a British soldier about why they weren't doing anything, and he was like "its not our job, we're fighting a war, let the aussies do it, they haven't done anything yet"

Usually armies have a seperate force for that kinda stuff. So that they are trained more like a police officer than a full soldier.

True sorta. but the British army are trained to preserve life, and keep order, not just to kill people, that is not an army. Peacekeeper is a better word than police.

Uhh we can't stop in the middle of a war and start playing cops N robbers. We are still fighting the enemy, it's not like the war is over. BTW we have 1200 police otw to help with the task... i know that isnt much but it's a start.

I heard you had 23 police on the way to act as advisors?
There isn't anyone left to fight? Atleast not an enemy that needs all 60000+ soldiers.

So true. The British Army up the north isn't half bad, and they keep the peace without shooting up the entire country.

I'm sure the thousands upon thousands of MPs in US bases are being put to good use now that a huge chunk of your army isn't even in the same country anymore.
