Difference with Vb 6 (are the codes different?)
Hi,
is .NET different from Vb 6 or previous versions of visual basic.
would i encounter a problem and don't know a code if a start using .NET or is it just a prettier ( display) version.

VB.NET is just prettier, other than that there are absolutely zero differences between VB.NET and VB6 and earlier versions.

That isn't true, there are a lot of differences. Get a book to get you up to speed. It isn't too hard.

Sorry, should've stated a little differently,

the main difference is object orriented, vb6 was nothing like that,
so for me there is a big difference
