    Large capacity CDs

    Hello guys,

I have tried to burn a CD of 878 Mb capacity (100 min.) with data just over 800 Mb (as in the original CD I'm trying to duplicate). Hpwever I get this error from the software (Nero 5) that there is not enough capacity. How can I find a way around this, should I use a different software?

A typical 80 min CD can't hold that much data, your only 2 options here are to span the data you're copying over 2 cd's or to get yourself a dvd -r recorder as dvd recordables can store far more ddata on...

The thing is I bought a 100 min. CD, far more than the original CD I'm trying to copy that has some 810 Mb in it. Should be sufficient, shouldn't it? Nero's help says something about configuring the program to allow extended recording, but it won't work.

Nero has an overburn feature that should be enabled. By the way be sure that your CD must not be multisession but DAO (disk at once). Do not go through Wizard.
However I tried to burn a 800mg CD and didnt succeed despite taking all these measures into account. It couldn't finalize the CD. However when i tried to burn even less data under 700 meg despite successful burning the CD fails to open on some other CD-Drives.

Well, I set this feature but then couldn't even get started for Nero checked the CD and refused to go on burning.

dont use CD's over 80Mins... it has tendancy to damage your burner and CD-Rom drive when it tries to read it
