    DevAwards: Team needed

I've already booked the domain devawards.com and allowed a kid to play with the web space so don't worry what is on it right now (looks like crap anyway).

I had the idea of creating probably the world's most competitive and popular programming, web development and graphic designing competition that existed. For any competition, we need prizes. I have already talked to several companies and they are willing to put their services and software as prizes. For example, the company that created CodeCharge and ImpulseStudio said they were keenly interested in my project and were willing to give their software out as a monthly prize. Additionally, RackSpace.com had shown their interest some while ago to sponsor a $5000 annual cash award. But Ive never been able to get this project off the ground alone so I concluded that doing it was impossible w/o a partner. So therefore I'm looking for a great web designer that has exceptional skills in designing and web programming to join me. Commercial rights would be fairly divided. I'd treat this guy as a partner and we'd work together to create a site that has both of our ideas and visions.

As far as the competition goes, my basic idea was to have something similar to pscode.com, but better. Better because it will have things that users at pscode.com really miss. If anyone wants to join me in this, just PM me. The developer may use any available language (PHP/ASP/ASP.NET/Perl) and any backend (MS SQL/MySQL/PGSQL) to do this. I'll be paying for all hosting costs and any other additional charges that may creep up during development. I don't know a jack about HTML so don't look to me for any support. I'd just be there to discuss my ideas with you and you'd have to actually implement it.

I can work for this project based on the condition. Condition is that there must be some sort of revenue needs to be attached to this....that keeps the interest alive...

    Iis this still on?

I'm a project leader in a GSM company.I think this is a serious project that needs professional leading.I can figure out the Relational Model and E-R diagram and draw a project layout.I recommend you to use .NET technologies cause I'm an MS certified .NEt developper. But unfortunately I can do nothing with the design so you should find a real web designer.

If you are interested please drop me a line
