OK, first off I must say I don't want any crap about "why do you want to do this." I have my reasons.
That out of the way:
I used to use the VC++ resource editor in the Win3.11 days to mess with program resources. I since upgraded to more useful versions of software, namely Win98SE and VStudio 98. Now I can't mess with my resources. I get a error box saying something about "Windows doesn't support editing resources on this executable" which is bull I know because my ancient Win3.11 editors will open and save EXEs/DLLs/etc without any trouble, but I NEED a 32bit editor.
Any ideas?

Go to http://www.download.com and search for Hex Editor. There are a whole lot of them on there.

So just because something worked on your old, crusty 16-bit Win311 means it MUST work on a completely different and totally changed operating system?
Mmmm... Sometimes you just have to accept that in producing newer versions of products some things can be done and others cannot be done... It doesn't mean they MUST be possible.

Hex Editors etc
Hex Editors rule. I love them. There are more "customized" versions of apps floating around now thanks to me and hex editor duets.
However, they can't edit bitmaps, wave tables, or other binary resources. THIS is what I'm after.
That said, Gen-X: I know it can be done because I've seen people do it. LIVE, for goodness' sake. I just don't remember HOW.
Help????
