    Network Password

I have Windows XP Home Edition, and I have a network at my business that I use to share files with me and my coworkers. I would upgrade to Pro, but I'm a little strapped for cash. I have one shared folder, and it has just occured to me that the shared folder does not require a password. Is there anyway I can assign a password to this folder so that none of the coworkers that I don't want to be able to see the folder can't see it??

Not without a third-party program, no.

If you're on a domain, restrict access to certain groups and that will solve the problem. If you aren't on a domain, it will be more difficult.

Take a look at www.webattack.com or www.downloads.com , and search for a directory locker or password protected directories.

    Regards,

    Paul.
