    Question

    Hi All:

    I have done what http://support.microsoft.com/support.../q136/2/14.asp suggests for testing my autorun.inf on floppy but I encounter problems.

    First, I put two files in a floppy disk:

    notepad.exe
    autorun.inf - content of autorun.inf:
    [autorun]
    open=notepad.exe
    icon=notepad.exe,0

    Second, the above page suggests me to change the bit of the first byte of the value of NoDriveTypeAutoRun in regedit.
    I changed that from 95 to 91 and restarted the machine but pressing F5 while I was exploring A: just still didn't work, notepad didn't start at all! BTW, I am using Windows 2000 Server.

    Please help. Thanks in advance.

    You can't autorun from the floppy disk, it runs on a CD-Rom only, maybe on the hard disk too. But not on a floopy.
