    Hello All,

OK - I've made an app which will conect to a server on the net. BUT. The server is also a VB project - and I have tested this client server system at home...

So... how/where/whatever you know! can I get this to work on the internet - ie:

where can I put my server app on the net, where it will be able to run?

can I just stick it on any server (ie: unix) as an exe and run it - or will that not work? If I did that on an NT server would it work?

it has to be running constantly - ie: start it once, and then leave it running...

any ideas, or places where i can do that (ideally free - or very cheap) would be appreciated...

    thanks

    Philip :-)

It would have to be an NT server (POSIX systems can't run PE files). As far as I know, there are no free servers where you can have your program running. (I'm not even sure if many paid ones let you - security problems and all that). Although I think if you let them check it they may let you - they need to make sure that it doesn't compromise system integrity.
