question about asp.net?
Myself and a friend are creating a webste using asp.net.
A portion of the site will feature a job search engine.
The challenge is that we have to figure out how to create a backdoor to the website so that companies can post their job openings directly to the site. We thought about having them submit their information to us on an Excel spreadsheet and then uploading it onto the site, but this would make it complicated for them. At my job, our consultants created a program that allows you to email information to an email address, that information then uploads through a backdoor into the interface of the application. Does anyone know whether we would be able to do this for our site. So companies would just be able to post their job openings simply by emailing them a certain web address...Does anyone have any ideas of how I could do this?

i think the typical solution is to have businesses register on your site, then they can login and update job listings through a web interface.... i'm sure though it would be possible to have them email you the information and have it automatically update, however this means you'd need to have some kind of standard message format, and this format must be followed, otherwise it wouldn't work....
interesting idea however, to do it with the email way...
