    Just For A SERIOUS Learning Curve...

    OK, heres the deal.

    I'm a VB programmer.
    I want to write my own OS.
    SO.... they say i need to learn C.
    I want to learn C now. ^_^
    WHere can i get a good C compiler and tutorials on the language itself? And how to imbed it into startup on the hd etc? just want to learn man ^_^

    If you search this forum(C/C++) you will find this posted about a million times. At least once last week also. You will also find making your own OS posted here a bunch. If you want to imbed it or do any other lower level stuff you are going to need to learn assembly.

    i aint built one myself, but ive heard that its best to develop some kind of linux first of all as OS are really big and hard to code. thats just wat ive heard hope it helps.
