 Computer to computer data transfer.
What would be the best way to transfer files from one computer to another? I have a 250Mb USB Zip drive. While i only want to transfer a limited amout of data(600 Mp3's, Java source, and maybe my Borland JBuilder) i dont want to have to copy anything. How could i go about doing this?

I thought about getting an external Lacie hard drive and mirroring the hd on my gateway to transfer the data to the new comp i want to get. But now im not too sure i can afford a new computer so i might just get another hard drive to put in my gate way. But what is the best way to migrate data from one computer to another if i do decide to purchase another computer?

Why not get an external USB 120gb HDD drive only $529 australian. Uses a USB2 port which does 400mb/s or something like that.
Or just get an smaller HDD and a Mass Storage Enclosure.
40gb = $189 aussie
Enclosure USB2.0 and Friewwire = $193 aussie.

How could you use the word "only" in there?? 
It would be better to get two LAN cards, a bit of UTP cabling, and to just copy the files over to the other PC.
Total cost should come to about:
LAN cards: 2 x $20
Wire: $3
= $43. ONLY.
(that's US$, I don't know what that would be in AUS$)

AUS$ are of less value than CAD$. I think that would be about 90 AUS$...

Beacon only $529. yeah i think that would be the way to go for me. Ill have to look on cdw for one. Any recommendations as the what brand and type to purchase? I was looking at the Lacies.
Yes Deutschland = Germany. Im from the states though. You guys should know this. Ive only been here since oct 99.

...  ...but I didn't know you called it LAN cards in English...but it makes perfect sense to do it...
You can also call them Ethernet cards.

Do they have all the latest computer hw and sw there? Or is it more 'deutsch' oriented?
