Win2k Home Network - "Network not accessible"
Hi, I set up a home network between 2 Win2k machines. The Internet connection sharing works fine and the server computer can connect to the client with no problems. But if I try to connect to the server computer from the client, it says that the workgroup is not accessible and that the server is not configured for transactions. I setup both computers to the same workgroup and both computers are logged on as administrators. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks.

Check the DNS entries on the guest system(s). Stands a good chance it's not registered to the IP of the server.
If you're using DHCP (Dynamically assigned), just try pinging the server's IP address.
Have you enabled sharing on a directory on the server M8... this could also prevent you from viewing the server from a client machine.
Try...
\\myserver\ipc$
at the run prompt.
Regards,
Paul.
