Search engines display previous unwanted phrases

Although I deleted all temp internet files, reinstalled Windows and IE, previous search phrases are displayed as soon as I start to enter a new phrase in any search engine. How can I delete them? (because I don't want my kids to see every thing what I searched for back in history)

If i remember correctly go Tools > Internet options > Content Tab > AutoComplete > Deselect Forms

This should turn off the previous search phrases box while still allowing autocompletion of passwords etc.
