    Can't Restart my Computer *Resolved*

I have had this problem for a long time now. But now it is getting annoying. I have windows ME and whenever i attempt to restart my computer before it turns all the way off it hangs. And it happens every single time, so i can assoicate it with a program or anything. So whenever i install something or change major setting i have to shut my computer down all the way and the press the power button again to have it start Im thinking that maybe something is left the memory that needs to be unloaded or something. And i dont want to formatt so does anyone happen to know of anything that might help. Please note i have tried defraging, shuting down all other programs, and clearing the temp folder in windows before restart. Any ideas are welcome thanks.

I would say to get rid of Windows ME. It sucks and always has/will suck.

The hanging on the "your computer is shutting down" screen is common.

    Windows Me isn't that bad...

The common fault involves fast shutdown, and some ACPI bios's. You may need to flash your system before it will work.

Please accept my apologise if this message appears to high in the list... it keeps doing that to me???

    Regards,

    Paul.
