Hey guys! Does anyone know bout port monitoring?
I mean there is a port on a computer, used by
an application on the remote machine.
I don't know anything about the program's functions
and or what it's good for.
Is there a way to watch this port and see what that
program does?
And if this is possible, can I use this information
to execute several commands on my machine, which
would be understood on the remote computer?
(surely only commands which must be understood by the
application)
thx, vbzero

To see what goes trough a port, you must use a packet sniffer. You can search for them on the internet. This site has some of them:

OK - Packet Sniffer sounds good - but how do I do
this in my own code?
I could see the source codes for C at your site,
but I don't know much bout C and so I want to have
the source codes for VB.
Any suggestions?
thx, vbzero
