    I don't know why it does it one

    One thing you could do (as a last resort) is to put your select boxes on a layer and hide/show it within the showMenu /hideMenu functions


    there is a forum on http://www.bratta.com/dhtml/scripts.asp
    for dhtml problems
    maybe they'll be able to help

    I think that is what we are doing on IE but I'm not sure.
