    cd rom problem

    when ever i insert a cd in the cd rom my pc restarts. what is the problem. any help will be greatly appreciated.

    That's clever... lol

    A few things...

    Check your PSU (Power Supply) is functioning correctly... if it's not running at the correct voltage, it can cause your system to reboot.

    If it's one disc in particular, try another

    Take off any IDE drivers packs, and upgrade them. Maybe a faulty release.

    It could be the CD drive itself, although I doubt it.
