seeing the memberes online on the occasional visit to galah i figured this place wasn't so busy with the same chit-chatters that were here before (mainly the post racers) but i do see some of you still here, thats good

Karl Moore took over the forums from John and James Ltd, then the hosts started having problems, so they shifted the site around, which caused some users to lose their accounts, posts etc. Karl sold off the site to JupiterMedia, who have put up ad banners at the top and bottom of the page. This take over exercise and subsequently the ad banners pissed off some members who left VBForums and joined other discussion boards at www.nxsupport.com/forums, www.galahtech.com etc. There were promotional offers from other forum owners, such as GalahTech which allowed you to keep your post count at VBF over there.

Apart from that, nothing sensational has happened

i was aware of the first takeover, didn't know about the sec ond one, i just use ad muncher n it gets rid of all the ads anyway... im a member at nxsupport and galah, not galahtech tho (or r they the same thing?? im confused)... hmm... might have to go there
