Can't Locate the Crystal Component in the VB project
Does anybody know why my VB 6.0 doesn't have the Crystal report in the componet list? Does Crystal report come with visual basic 6.0? Or do I have to buy the product individually?

Hey Darn!
Unfortunately, VB 6 does not include CR version like VB 5 did. You have to install CR separately and your problem will be solved..
Cheers

Thanks for replying back. Do I have to get a version of the Crystal report from the CrystalDicisions. Or Is there a copy of the crystal that I can download from another site some where. I think a copy of the crystal report 9.0 cost approximetly 500.00 dollars. I'm just begining to learn the software myself and can't afford 500.00 dollars these days with this market.
Does anybody know.
Thanks

Hey Dibon:
Thanks for the reply. In order to purchase the CR do I have to contact Crystal Report itself? Or is there a site that I can copy a test trial of Crystal on my PC? Any idea........
Thanks

Crystal Reports was not automatically installed during the VB6 setup like it was for prior versions. You must install it manually. Check your CD's. Its in the \Common\Tools\VB\CrysRept\ (the common folders contain other components that need to be installed manually as well).
Check out this MS KB article

Hey Darn
Thanks for the comment!!! So much for trying to help people around here.... I was not around to see your two posts, remember you're in a forum where people try to help each other out...being sarcastic wont take you anywhere!!!
When you want to install any component, the first thing one generally does is look at the main CD ( in this case your VB CD!!)....anyways gud for you, now that u know and BTW thanks, brucevde!!
